How will Luffy Defeat Kaido - One Piece Theory Something I always wondered ever since the introduction of Kaido, how is luffy supposed to beat this thing? I think we all can agree that Kaido won't be defeated by just mere speed and strength. Falling straight 10,000 meter high from the ground did nothing to kaido(if he turned into dragon at that time is different story which I doubt). This will be different from any opponent luffy faced till now. In recent fight with Katakuri which maybe so far strongest opponent, Luffy defeated him in SnakeMan form which utilized Observation Haki and the speed. But we can't expect the same thing in Kaido's case. Even if Luffy shows his Gear 5 form which would produce immense power, it won't be proper way to defeat Kaido. At least I personally think it is not. There is something more than just strength and speed in this. Oda said, "When Kaidou appeared for the first time, I said that Luffy can't defeat such a strong character yet. And I'm yet to know how Luffy would defeat Kaidou. Probably my audience will not be satisfied if the reason for defeating Kaido is just because Luffy's punch is so strong. Luffy and I have to find a solution somehow."
