Both died due to disease.Now from this information I came to an speculation.And here it goes - Just like real life pirate Drake and Hawkins,in one piece too Drake and Hawkins will form alliance.This is the reason behind the arrival of Drake and dissaperance of Hawkins.The real life pirates Hawkins and Drake lost in San Juan War.There is one piece character named similar to San Juan i.e. Sanjuan Wolf of BlackBeard. Hawkins and Drake might kill Sanjuan Wolf and when it was just about the time that Blackbeard was about to kill Hawkins and Drake,Luffy might appear and save.Then Hawkins and Drake might join Luffy's great alliance.In real life,Hawkins and Drake lost in San Juan War but if in one piece too if Basil Hawkins and X-Drake loose to just Sanjuan Wolf,then it will not be fair.So oda will change the story and Drake and Hawkins will actually kill Sanjuan Wolf rather than losing ..Everything I said is based on facts from SBS and Wikipedia.This is just a speculation and it might sound bad for you.But for me this speculation makes sense.This is the connection between Hawkins and Drake.This connection between hawkins and drake made perfect sense to me.So, hope you enjoyed this one piece theory about drake and hawkins.
